(Hsinchu Taiwan, Dec. 10th, 2020) eMemory and its subsidiary, PUFsecurity, and United Microelectronics Corporation (NYSE:UMC; TWSE: 2303) (“UMC”), a leading global semiconductor foundry, announced today the successful joint development of the world’s first PUF (Physical Unclonable Function)-based secure embedded flash solution. PUFsecurity’s PUFflash integrates eMemory’s NeoPUF into UMC’s 55nm embedded flash technology platforms to deliver a secure embedded flash. PUFflash enhances the security of embedded flash applications with its built-in, PUF-based Root of Trust (PUFrt), while maintaining the access speed of the embedded flash.

熵碼科技的PUFflash結合三方技術強項,將力旺電子的NeoPUF導入聯華電子55奈米嵌入式快閃記憶體技術平台,為市場提供了安全嵌入式快閃記憶體解決方案。PUFflash最主要的特色為,透過其內置的PUFrt信任根增強了嵌入式快閃記憶體的安全性,同時又能保有嵌入式快閃記憶體原先的讀取效率。
